Santa is in town

ROTHERHAM ROUND TABLE SLEIGH: Santa is out and about in Rotherham over the next week.

Rotherham Round Table are taking their sleigh through the streets from 4pm every night from Tuesday, December, 14 until Christmas Eve.

All the money raised from donations goes to support charities and good causes in Rotherham.

The social group are inviting donations through their GoFundMe page — you can find it at https://tinyurl.com/RotherhamTableSleigh. You can also donate by text — see the Rotherham Round Table 24 Facebook page for more details.

Here's where and when you can see Santa: Tuesday 15th: Waverley; Wednesday 16th: Woodlaithes; Thursday 17th: Brinsworth; Friday 18th: Canklow and Brinsworth; Monday 21st: Stag and Brecks; Tuesday 22nd: Wickersley and Bramley; Wednesday 23rd: Whiston and Grange; Christmas Eve: Moorgate.

Round Table chairman James Fox said the group was keen to keep up a tradition of more than 30 years of Santa sleigh rides but urged people not to approach the sleigh and asked them to ensure they follow social distancing guidelines.

Round Table are also working with Rotherham Sitwell Rotary to provide Virtual Santa Visits via Zoom or WhatsApp until Sunday, December 20, in return for a charitable donation. Visit santa.sitwellrotary.org.uk to book.
