Rotherham Choral Society tuning up for spring concert next week

The group’s spring show will take place at St Cuthbert’s Church in Herringthorpe.

WORKS from Fauré and Puccini will feature in Rotherham Choral Society’s first concert of the year next weekend.

The group’s spring show will take place at St Cuthbert’s Church in Herringthorpe at 7.30pm next Saturday, March 23.

The programme includes Messe di Gloria by Puccini and Faure's Requiem.

Soloists Stephen Newlove, Thomas Asher and with Tommy Walsh will be accompanied by organist Jonathan Gooing.

Tickets priced a £10 (£9 and £2 for concessions) are available from choir members or on the door.

The choir has been running since 1892 and puts on four concerts a year, with the summer show booked in the diary for June 7 at Herringthorpe United Reformed Church.
