PUNK band System Of Hate prepare for Rotherham show.

PUNK band System Of Hate will be backing up the release of a new EP with a gig in Rotherham this weekend.

The Barnsley-based, self-described “dark punk rock” band recently released the Insanity EP, which features four self-penned tracks ; Insanity, Ashes Of Divinity, The Dogs Of War and Infected.  

It was recorded at Orion Studios in Rotherham and will be showcased at at the Cutlers Arms in Wellgate from 8.30pm on Friday, with free entry.

The band is made up of Dave Sutcliffe on vocals, Shaun “Paddy” O’Neill on bass, Pat Crawford on guitar, Carl Gilliford on drums and Martin Roberts on keyboards.  

System Of Hate started in late 2011 but didn't start gigging until 2013 and they have now played the Rebellion Festival at Blackpool Winter Gardens and supported Vice Squad, Sham 69, Goldblade, Peter and The Test-Tube Babies, Angelic Upstarts, UK Subs and Discharge.  

“We can’t believe what we have achieved in one year of gigging, supporting loads of brilliant bands, playing Rebellion and a gig in London, too,” said Shaun.

“We are so proud of the Insanity CD.”
