Our Charlie's having a right laugh!

THE Advertiser’s Charlie Graves is bidding to become a stand-up comedian...in just two weeks.

He is joining ten other guinea pigs in working to perfect five-minute routines for a one-off show in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The would-be funnymen are being mentored by comedienne Stephanie Davies, head of Liverpool-based company Laughology.

She put them through their paces when they met for the first time this week and afterwards, Charlie said: “None of us realised just how much work is involved.

“It’s all in a good cause but trying to be funny is no laughing matter. I’m exhausted!”
