Noel Gallagher, Will Young and James Morrison booked in for summer shows

MUSIC fans may have to swoop fast to get their hands on tickets for an outdoor concert that will definitely maybe prove popular.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will play one of Forestry England’s Forest Love gigs in our region next summer, with James Morrison and Will Young co-headlining another.

Supported by Confidence Man, the band will take to the stage at Sherwood Pines, near Mansfield, on Friday, June 26, while Will and James will both perform on Sunday, June 28.

Fronted by former Oasis maestro Noel Gallagher (above) the High Flying Birds first emerged in 2011 with their eponymous album going double platinum in the UK and selling over 2.5 million copies worldwide. 

Chasing Yesterday and Who Built The Moon? followed, making it a hat-trick of Number 1 albums. 

At Forest Live, Noel and an 11-piece band will be performing tracks from his new series of EPs and the impressive Gallagher back catalogue.

Forest Live concerts help Forestry England fund conservation ofwoodland and wildlife.

Former Pop Idol winner Will Young has had four Number 1 albums over a career spanning almost 20 years and recently released new collection Lexicon, while James Morrison was catapulated into the spotlight by debut album Undiscovered, since when he has won a legion of fans with hits such as You Give Me Something and the Nelly Furtado collaboration Broken Strings.

Both have played Forest Live shows and said they were pleased to be booked in again.

James said: “I think our sets will complement each other in a special way and I'm really looking forward to our shows together. It’ll be a great night out.”

Will added: “Both James and I have fond memories of appearing as part of Forest Live as solo artists in the past.
