TV star and opera singer Ruth Lockwood helped to raise hundreds of pounds for worthy causes and brought a touch of the West End to Wath.

Ruth, who appeared on BBC One talent show The Voice, performed in A Night at The Musicals at Montgomery Hall on Friday.

The event was in aid of The Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Jenny Andrews, chosen charities — Shiloh, Rotherham Hospice and Rotherham United Community Sports Trust.

Ruth and four other singers took to the stage and helped to raise more than £900.
