Mini Man of Steel to welcome Christmas shoppers

THE mini Man of Steel makes his way to Meadowhall tomorrow (1)— where he will be displayed for thousands of Christmas shoppers.

The four-feet tall sculpture is travelling the area to publicise the full size version — ten times bigger — planned for the Kimberworth hillside.

And the replica, made at Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, will remain in place at the shopping centre until the new year.

Sculptor Steve Mehdi said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to showcase the Yorkshire Icon Man of Steel mode at Meadowhall over Christmas.

“I hope it will make a great addition to the shopping centre, and a focus of interest that will draw more people in.”

Steve thanked Meadowhall director Darren Pearce, owners British Land and Norges Bank.
