Mexborough pub shows its soul with Macmillan fundraising drive

A MEXBOROUGH pub has gone mad about Macmillan this month — and punters are being invited this weekend to show they’ve got soul.

The Northern Soul celebration at the Montagu Arms is the focal point of four weeks’ fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Starting at 5pm, it will also include the draw for a grand raffle supported by traders from across the town.

Raffle tickets are still available from the pub on Bank Street.

Staff member Andrea Oliver, who is co-organising the charity drive, said the Montagu wanted to thank the following businesses for their support: B&M, Just Cuts, Hammonds cafe, Mexborough Tea Rooms, D Bennett, Superdrug, Pastures Lodge, Bijoux tattoo studio, Denim House, Hollywood Nails, Card Heaven, Pettits, Gentry, Wishing Well Cafe, the Old Market Hall pub and Nicky J’s hair salon.
