Marie Curie and Winthrop Park in bake-off link-up

TWO charities are cooking up a tasty spring fundraiser.

The Marie Curie Rotherham fundraising group, as part of their Great Daffodil Appeal, are joining forces with Wickersley’s Winthrop Gardens.

Winthrop volunteers are holding their annual bake-of on Saturday, March 24, between 11am and 3pm at the garden on Second Lane, off Morthen Road.

And the will be Marie Curie products available to buy on the day, as well as a tombola to enter.

All entries donated to the bake-off will be available for tasting and sale after the judging.

Entries of cakes, scones, tray bakes, biscuits or cupcakes are invited, with a Winthrop Vintage Afternoon Tea for Two up for grabs for the winners in both the adult’s and children’s categories.

Cakes can be dropped off at the Winthrop café on either Friday, March 23, between noon and 6pm, or the following morning between 8am and 9am.

Entry forms for the Bake Off are available by either calling 07397 039226,

emailing [email protected] or in person from the Winthrop café.
