ROTHERHAM’S Manvers Lake is being reborn as a watersports centre just a few years after being transformed from an industrial wasteland.

Manvers Waterfront boat club has more than 430 members who take part in a variety of watery activities including open water swimming, canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing. Lakeside activities include running, cycling, angling and model boating.

The competitive arm of the club—Team Manvers—fields teams across various disciplines, including in the new Dearne Valley Triathlon hosted at the park itself.
