Library to close for a week in Darfield

DARFIELD Library will be closed for one week from today to allow for essential maintenance work to be carried out to the roof.

No fines will be charged for the closure period and the library will reopen on Thursday, August 6, Barnsley Council said.

Throughout the closure, library members will be able to access the library's information service, e-audio collection and its eBooks collection online.

Meanwhile, Goldthorpe Library has joined an initiative to bring free Wi-Fi and digital support to Dearne Valley residents.

Along with access to free Wi-Fi, library users will be able to take advantage of expert support sessions run by Barclays Digital Eagles — specially trained members of Barclays staff.
