LAURA Jordan had a roaring time turning 100 and was tickled to receive a card from The Queen!
The surprise greeting was topped off by a visit from Maltby Town Council chairwoman, Shaz Biggin, who presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
The former factory worker who was also able to assemble five generations of her family for a photo moved to Maltby around 70 years ago after her late husband James began work at the pit.
The couple went on to have four daughters, 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and nine great great-grandchildren.
Daughter Margaret Keenan (69) said her bingo-loving mum had celebrated reaching the milestone with a family garden party.
