Harry Potter Day promises wizard activities

WIZARD events will be taking place in Rotherham’s libraries next week to celebrate the first-ever Harry Potter Book Night.

Next Thursday, February 5, will see the inaugural Harry Potter Book Night celebrated throughout the world and in the town’s libraries there will be special programmes of family fun.

Each library will be sharing the wonder of J.K. Rowling's unforgettable stories and introducing the next generation of readers to the unparalleled magic of Harry Potter.

Muggles are welcome, too, to join in the games, activities, readings and quizzes, having been sorted into a Hogwarts school house ready to play for house points through the evening’s activities.

There will be a Harry Potter fancy dress competition and the chance to design your own house shield, plus Harry Potter Trivia quizzes and readings from Harry Potter stories.

The events happening in each library across Rotherham will vary, so Harry Potter fans  need to check with their local library for what is being planned and when.
