FOUR funny folks will take to the Rotherham Civic stage at Grin and Tonic Comedy Club tomorrow.

This month’s comedians have a host of awards between them, as well as appearing on national TV and radio programmes.

Christian Reilly went to the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe and took home Mervyn Stutter’s Spirit Of The Fringe Award. The ukulele-wielding raconteur has been likened to Bill Bailey or Rich Hall, blending side-splitting lines with hilarious songs.

Tom Wrigglesworth has a Chortle Award for Best Show, as well as a nomination for Edinburgh Festival’s Best Show gong. The broadcasting banter-merchant also scooped a Sony Award for his Radio 4 series Open Letters.

He has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News, at Edinburgh Comedy Fest and on Electric Dreams.

Sarah Louise Keegan — who won Beat the Frog at Manchester comedy club The Frog and Bucket — plays accordion while peddling her wit.

Tom King also Beat the Frog, as well as winning a Stagefright Comedy Crooked Smile Award in 2015.

He was a semi-finalist at Leicester Square Theatre’s New Comedian of the Year contest the same year.

And compere Anthony J Brown is a Jongleurs/Metro Stand and Deliver Comedy Award Winner. He was pipped to the post for a BBC New Comedy Award, but appeared on Phoenix Nights regardless.

His seven-line yarns avoid profanity, in favour of luscious imagery, matching his decadent dress sense.

All five can be seen for just £11 (£10 concessions) — as long as you’re aged 16 or over.

Visit www.rotherhamtheatres.co.uk or call 01709 823621 to book.
