Gangsta granny takes centre stage

AN INTREPID granny with a thrilling secret life will take centre stage in South Yorkshire next week.

David Walliams’ best-selling story Gangsta Granny is brought to life on stage at the Lyceum in Sheffield from next Wednesday to Saturday.

The story starts on a Friday night with schoolboy Ben looking miserably ahead to a boring night with Granny, complete with cabbage soup, cabbage pie and cabbage cake.

What Ben doesn’t know is that Granny has a secret — and Friday nights are about to get more exciting than he could ever imagine, as he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with his amazing grandparent.

The show is from the producers of West End runs of Billionaire Boy and Awful Auntie, also written by author Walliams.
