Funk and soul on the musical menu at Leopold Square
GRITTY, punchy soul will be delivered by the bagful as a popular band returns to an open-air venue this weekend.
Papa Soul play Sheffield’s Leopold Square on Saturday as part of a series of free public sessions.
The eight-piece, who feature a full horn section, voices aplenty and a selection of rare grooves, will be entertaining bar and restauranteur-goers and passing shoppers from 2pm to 4.30pm.
On Sunday afternoon at the same times, it is the turn of instrumental funk band Dr Fat Lip to play, bringing together young talent with original tunes and funk classics.
