Fungi walk this weekend - but there's not mushroom left

The event has been rescheduled from tomorrow due to predicted bad weather.

The walk in Canklow Woods is being organised by the Don Catchment Rivers Trust and is aimed at nature enthusiasts, children and families.

Those attending will be introduced to mushrooms and toadstools by ecologist Julie Riley who is leading a guided walk around the historical woodland.

The event starts at 10am from the entrance on Lawton Lane and will last around two hours.

Parking will be available at the end of Lawton Lane.

The walk is free but booking is essential as spaces are limited. People can book by calling 01302 796173 or emailing [email protected]. 

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and attendees should wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
