Final disappointment for Britain's Got Talent hopeful
AN ALL-female singing ensemble featuring a Parkgate woman appeared in the grand final of Britain’s Got Talent show - but victory was not to be.
Alexandra Hans and her fellow D-Day Darlings (pictured) failed to take the title despite winning over the nation’s hearts in the competition with their renditions of wartime songs, finishing joint sixth in the voting.
Alexandra (31), of Rawmarsh Hill in Parkgate, has been a member of the Midlands-based group for four years.
The group, which supported by Dame Vera Lynn and the Royal British Legion, make regular appearances at wartime-themed events and veterans parties.
