Film star Lindsay Lohan's Rotherham connection
The answer is this impressive American police car.
In February, Lohan posed with it during a major promotional photoshoot in London.
Now, Ian—who owns Car Care at Lyme Street, Masbrough—has snapped up the 2001 4.6 litre V8 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

Hide AdAnd he was so keen to get his hands on the vehicle that he travelled to Portsmouth to seal the deal with the previous owner and drove it back home!
It started its life on the mean streets of New York in 2001 and still retains many of its original features—including siren and PA system.
Such is its standing that it took part in the 2004 Gumball 3000-an annual 3,000 mile international road rally which takes place on public roads, with a different route around the world each year.
Entrepreneur Justin Etzin and Model Mellissa Bradbury drove it and were awarded most original Car of the Rally.

Hide AdAnd Ian has no intention of keepng it locked away in his garage.
He regularly drives it around Rotherham and is often stopped by members of the public who want to take pictures of it.
He says: “The level of attention it gets is absolutely amazing. It seems that everyone wants to look and have their picture taken with it.”
He is a big fan of American cars and this is not the first police car he has owned.
“I don’t really know how it developed,” he adds.“
“I just love American cars.”

Hide AdIan previously had a 3.8-litre Chevrolet Lumina patrol car after buying it off ebay for £800.
Others have included a 1983 Mustang—painted in Starsky and Hutch livery—and a black five-litre Trams Am complete with Knight Rider-style strobing bonnet light.
But this latest acquisition is the best yet as far as he is concerned.
And he reckons he will be keeping his latest acquisition for some time yet.
Ian’s long-suffering wife Yvonne has learned to put up with her husband’s “hobby”—but has warned that he must look after this latest buy....and keep hold of it!
