In association with Rotherham Pride, the interactive event promises to be a glitter explosion and is suitable for children under five, who must be accompanied by an adult.

Aida H Dee said: “My queen look is all about glitter - glittery jump suit, big wig.

“In three words, I’d describe it as, glitter, glitter, glitter!”

She added: “There are lots of people who are very scared of anything that’s different.

“Drag Queen Story Hour is not just about LGBT awareness, it’s awareness of anybody that’s different.

“The idea is if a child experiences something a bit different as a child, then as an adult they’ll hopefully receive it in a positive way.”

She added: “We read things like We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, And Tango Makes Three, Two Penguins in a Zoo.

“I’m also writing a book about an autistic boy.”

The event starts at 1pm and tickets cost £3, which includes entry for one parent or guardian.
