It will also include dance performances and 3D soundscapes which will give visitors an immersive experience of Sheffield’s steel industry, using all the senses.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Human League keyboardist Martyn Ware, from Sheffield, whose father was a steel worker, artists Sarah Hopkins and Tracey Moberly.

The trio was inspired to collaborate on the project because of their passion for creativity and fascination in industry, industrial architecture and processes.

They have already produced a series of screenprints, photographs, a film and an immersive ‘sonic steelworks’ using sound recorded at a Sheffield steelworks.

The film projections show abstracted film of elemental visuals from the steelworks such as steel being poured from a blast furnace and the rolling of steel strips.

The free exhibition is open from 11am to 6pm from March 30 until April 13 but is closed Sundays and Mondays.
