Everly Pregnant Brothers' Shaun Doane joins Saltstock Festival line-up

The festival was launched three years ago as a way to raise funds for the Concord All Stars Junior Marching Band, a band open to children aged seven to 17 regardless of musical ability and financial status.

EVERLY Pregnant Brother Shaun Doane will lead the celebrations this weekend with the return of the Saltstock Festival.

It will be back to blow the band’s trumpet and held support children’s charity PACT at the Hallam University Hubs Building Club Room from 7pm tomorrow.

Saltstock Festival was the brainchild of James Salt, chair of governors of Concord All Stars.

Everly Pregnant Brothers’ frontman Shaun will compere this year’s five-hour show, which combines family-friendly artists and will feature a joint mass performance by the junior marching band themselves in a Fleetwood Mac extravaganza.

Twenty-piece party band Tin Soldiers are also on the bill, with tracks by the likes of Earth Wind and Fire, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The White Stripes, Wild Cherry and Herbie Hancock in their setlist.

The band, which features James Salt, will also be joined by his dad, a well known jazz musician, who will perform alongside popular crooner Alfie Ryan.

Other acts booked to appear include former The Voice contestant Sam O’Hara and his band The Soul Battalion; soul, funk, pop and rock covers band Elevation Avenue; blues act Bluesmouse and the House Rats; Sheffield rock band Riker and indie kids The Azenas.

James Salt said: “It has been wonderful to see this event grow and develop over the past three years.

“Our original aim was to provide a family friendly music festival that children could attend with their parents.

“We’ve tried to keep it affordable and raise the maximum amount for charity.
