Swinton’s St Margaret’s Church is hosting its annual scarecrow festival over the weekend of September 20 to 22, with a town fair from noon to 5pm on Saturday, September 21.

Previous winners have included an impressive homage to the David Walliams book Grandpa’s Great Escape.
