Jurassic Kingdom brings more than 30 lifelike animatronic dinosaurs – including an 18m high, roaring T-Rex and a 16m long Diplodocus – to Norfolk Heritage Park in Sheffield until Sunday, June 10.

Visitors will discover a dinosaur world as they explore the Jurassic Kingdom trail through the park, finding epic life-sized dinosaur replicas from the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods as they go, from T-rex and Triceratops to flying reptiles such as Pterosaurs.

Younger dinosaur hunters can try their hands at excavation in a special area where they can dig for bones, before learning about dinosaurs life in the Jurassic Kingdom educational marquee.

Naz Kabir, event director at Weli Cultural Alliance who are behind Jurassic Kingdom, said: “We are so excited to open the gates to the public at Jurassic Kingdom in Sheffield’s Norfolk Heritage Park.

“The park makes for a fantastic prehistoric-era setting, which will thrill audiences and take them back to the dinosaur period.

“Jurassic Kingdom experience is a fun and also educational experience suitable for all the family and we’re confident audiences from across South Yorkshire and beyond will love it.”

Richard Eyre, head of city centre management, markets and major events said: “It is quite fitting that one of our oldest parks will be hosting this wonderful event.

“The park was chosen by the organisers because they saw the layout and the greenery and decided it looked like the natural habitat of dinosaurs. I am sure everyone who comes to this exhibition will agree.

“We expect this unique event will be very popular and draw visitors to the area from near and far. It will be quite surreal to see life size dinosaurs in Norfolk Heritage Park this summer!"

Jurassic Kingdom is open daily from 10am to 6pm, excluding June 4, 5 and 6. Last entry is at 5pm.

Tickets are available from www.jurassickingdom.uk
