Determined Freya climbs to fundraising peak
Freya Kent (7) decided to support the Climbing for All group, of which she has been a member since she was three, when she set out to achieve her Brownies Charity Badge.
The Maltby youngster, who is a member of Bramley-based 39th Rotherham Brownies, has autism and learning difficulties and her mum Rachael said she was delighted with her fundraising success in collecting £262.

“She wrote to her teacher at Abbey School and asked if they could have a non-uniform day, and also held a raffle for an Easter basket.”
She added: “Freya has been climbing since she was about three and it’s amazing how she’s gone from someone who was shy and really lacking in confidence to absolutely flying up those walls.
“She has an older brother in the same group and it’s changed his life as well.”
