Deep Purple keyboard player Don Airey (below) and Thin Lizzy drummer Brian Downey (above, centre left) will both take to the stage at Sheffield’s Foundry club at 7pm on February 26. The pair will perform separate sets during the evening.

Airey’s keyboard skills have provided backing Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Gary Moore, Brian May, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, the last of which he has been a full-time member for more than 15 years.

The two went on to enlist Eric Bell and become Thin Lizzy, with Downey also working Lynott’s solo albums and the subsequent Grand Slam project.

Downey, who continued to work with ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore, now performs with his own band, Alive and Dangerous.

Tickets priced at £27.50 are available from https://www.eventim.co.uk or on 0844 249 1000.
