Dance legends and re-formed rockers top the bill at Conisbrough Music Fest

IT’S party time in Conisbrough this weekend as the village holds its annual summer musical celebration.

More than 30 acts are booked in to perform at the Welfare Field from 11am on Saturday.

Among them will be Doncaster’s own Stafford Galli (pictured), who are reforming for the occasion and will headline the main stage.

They will be joined by Soul Attitude, Harriet Grant and the Second Chapter, Huulen, Twenty Eighth Club, The Naked Everywhere, Tom Jane, Walking On Mountains.

The bill on the “other” main stage is topped by Reasons To Be Cheerful, backed by Saints Among Us, The Outcharms, The Rosadocs, Light Tide, Alba Rosa, Sweetness, Rock Choir, SV Dance Studios and Rotherham Town Brass Band.

Welsh dance act K-Klass, best known for their 1990s hits Rhythm is a Mystery and Let Me Show You head up a Subset Stage line-up also including Rory Hoy, Cockney Nutjob & The Kurnel MC, Chris Harris, Neil Unwin, Bryn G Simpson, Breaking Beats and DJ Prendi.

The kids arena will feature entertainment from the Kapow! Super Heroes, Reptile Rendezvous, Rotherham African Drummers and balloon modeller Mr Dan, as well as an inflatable slide, giant jenga, face painting and the Conisbrough-on-Sea urban beach.
