Comeback for comedy as club night returns

LIVE comedy is making a comeback to South Yorkshire next month with the return of a long-running club night.

The Last Laugh Comedy Club will return to Sheffield City Hall on May 29 after more than a year closed for business.

Compered by Toby Foster, the first night will feature Nina Gilligan, Jack Gleadow and Justin Moorhouse.

Toby (pictured) said: “I can’t wait.

“I’m curating the club for the foreseeable future, so I get to book my favourite acts into one of the best clubs in the country.”

The first six weeks will feature Covid restrictions, with tables of six, a one-way system and table-only service, but Toby added: “After June 21, Boris says we should be fine, so let’s see…”

Comedy fans keen for their fix of live laughs can see Steve Hall and Steve Williams at The Lescar in Sheffield on April 29 and 30.
