Classic cars, rides and a bucking bronco at village's summer spectacular this weekend

CLASSIC cars, crafts stalls and a bucking bronco are just a few of the attractions at a village event this weekend set to draw a crowd from far and wide.

Woodsetts TARA is hosting the Cruise In and Craft Fair at Woodsetts Recreation Ground from 10am to 4pm on Saturday.

And dads and grandads will get in for free as guests of honour on Father’s Day weekend.

TARA chair Philip Clarke said: “It’s the first event we’ve organised and has been a year in the planning.

“It’s quite exciting and everyone is looking forward to it.”

Up to 30 classic cars are expected, including a 1943 Hillman, a Jenson Interceptor and a Rolls Royce.

“It’s like bringing a museum to the public,” Philip added.

Classic and vintage car owners are invited to come along and show off their prized motors, with free entry for the first 25 cars, and all vintage vehicles must be in place by 9am.

Musical entertainment will include performances of wartime favourites by singer Lily Lovejoy, and there will be craft stalls, competitions and plenty to keep the kids busy, including a bouncy castle and bucking bronco.

The event has a licensed bar and there will be food vendors on-site, but picnics are also welcome.

Admission is £1 or £3 including on-site parking.
