A 24 FT inflatable screen, a winter woodland setting and sanitised in-car speaker systems will help bring a festive drive-in cinema experience back to Rotherham this Christmas.

After sold-out pop-up cinema experiences last year, Sheffield company The Village Screen will bring its giant outdoor silver screen back to Gulliver's Valley between December 17 and 23.

The attraction will show festive favourites including Elf, Love Actually, Home Alone, Die Hard, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Miracle on 34th Street, with all cars given their own sanitised in-car speaker system to listen to the films.

A spoksperson for The Village Screen said the events would feel “intimate and special, with the wooded grounds at Gulliver's Valley providing the perfect setting for people to enjoy a memorable experience to enjoy with their bubble”.

Andy Flowers, resort manager at Gulliver’s Valley, said: “We're so excited to be seeing the pop-up drive-in cinema return to Gulliver's Valley.

“Christmas movies are always so popular and bring such joy at this special time of year and this cinema provides something suitable for people of all ages who can come along and enjoy a movie here at the park.”

Tickets are priced at £38 per car, plus booking fee, and are on sale now via www.thevillagescreen.com/drive-thru-cinema.
