Charity music festival brings 40 bands to Wickersley

MORE THAN 40 bands will perform at a music festival this weekend in the hope of raising thousands of pounds in memory of a former Wickersley School pupil.

The Three Horseshoes, in Wickersley, will hold Beanz Bash on Saturday and Sunday in memory of Matthew Kiernan.

There will also be children’s entertainment, a barbecue and a raffle at the event which organisers hope will raise £5,000 for the charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

Matthew — who was known as Beanz — died after jumping from a bridge over the M18 in 2012.

Beanz Bash will run from noon until 10pm on both days.
