Can you write a song for Bluebell Wood?

BUDDING songwriters are invited to pen their own charity tune to aid Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Plan-D, which supports disabled folk in Sheffield, is offering a £300 prize and the chance to perform at a fund-raising event.

The winners will also be able to record their song in the studio for release in local shops.

Plan-D chief executive Tim Bevington said: “This idea is a great way to support Bluebell Wood and raise awareness of the work we do.

“This is a fun way for the public to get involved and become pop stars.”

Bluebell Wood chief executive Sarah Champion added: “This is a fun competition for all the musicians out there and a great way to publicise the charity and the work we do.”

To enter, write a song that begins with the first line: “We want you to know because everybody should about the work done at Bluebell Wood.”
