ESCAPE rooms have been singled out as one of the biggest crazes sweeping the country — and you could get a taste of the experience for free.

YMCA Rotherham Myplace, Clifton Learning Partnership, Chol Theatre and Grimm & Co have all have teamed up to create Escape Realms, an immersive production focused on the escape room phenomenon, which sees challengers trying to puzzle their way out of a locked space.

Part performance, part interactive art installation, Escape Realms aims to explore young people’s vision of the future.

Members of the public (including children aged over eight) are invited to go along, watch, and take part, at the YMCA’s myplace centre in St Ann’s from 1.30pm to 2.30pm next Saturday.

There’s still time for young people aged between 11 and 19 to get involved as volunteer performers, too.

If you’re interested, and can attend a rehearsal at myplace from 5pm next Monday to Friday, email Susan Burns at [email protected] or turn up and say you want to join in.
