Bric-a-brac, games and charity cake sale tomorrow in East Dene

A COUPLE will hold a charity event tomorrow to fund a cuddle cot in memory of their late daughter.

Ashley Forshaw and partner Nat Khamkaenkaew’s daughter, Luna Rae, was stillborn in July 2016.

Now they are hoping to comfort parents who find themselves in the same distressing situation by paying for a cuddle cot like the one they were able to use.

The cots, provided by charity 4Louis, keep stillborn babies’ bodies cool and enable bereaved parents and their relatives to spend more time with them.

The couple have organised a charity day featuring a bric-a-brac stall, games, cake sale and raffle from 11am to 3pm tomorrow (27) at The Lanes Community Centre in East Dene.

“Without the cuddle cot we wouldn’t have all the memory and pictures with our sweet girl, but unfortunately some families don’t get this time because there hospital might not have access to a cuddle cot,” said Ashley.

“We want to help 4Louis by rising money to buy a cuddle cot and give other families like ours the gift of memories.”
