Big band to swing sports club
A BIG band veteran will swing a Brinsworth sports club next Wednesday (20).
Colin Yates has been touring his swing ensemble since the 1970s, when it was founded here in Rotherham.
Though the line-up has changed, the songs remain the same — expect to hear Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Stan Kenton classics.
The band will play Phoenix Sports and Social Club, Pavilion Lane, joined by guest crooner Alfie Ryan.
The show starts at 8pm — tickets can be bought on the door for just £3 each.
