Bawtry Housing Development

Members of Bawtry Town Council have been advised of the outline hybrid planning application that has been submitted for the construction of 650 homes on land south of Tickhill Road at nearby Harworth. Councillors have raised concerns on the basis that although the impact on traffic suggested an increase of a small number of vehicles at peak times there was no assessment on the impact on Bawtry amenities, infrastructure or traffic or impact at non-peak times. Councillors suggested that a contribution needed to be forthcoming towards junction improvements in light of existing issues locally especially on Tickhill Road.
