ROTHERHAM Ale and Music Festival 2012 is in full swing, with hundreds of beers and dozens of musical acts to delight and entertain between now and Sunday evening.

The Advertiser was invited to a behind-the-scenes, pre-festival tasting session at Magna, where ale experts and aficionados were tasked with choosing Rotherham CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Yorkshire.

Reporter Dave Doyle grabbed a few words with festival organiser Steve Burns as well as Dan Baxter, sales manager at the award-winning Abbydale Brewery.
