At the Arcade widening horizons after single launch

At The Arcade, winner of the 2019 Rotherham’s best band award, have released their first original single The Ones That Got Away.

Brandon Walton, lead singer and guitarist, said: “I think this is a great first song.

“We’ve been going around Rotherham for a while now and preparing for this. “Over the years in the band we’ve all been getting used to playing together on stage.

“It maybe should’ve come a little earlier honestly, but Covid hit and things took a bit longer.”

Brandon said the band had felt ready for the new challenge of recording their own songs.

“We were working with Steel City Studios, who’ve done work with big bands like Bring Me The Horizon,” he said.

“This process has been amazing.”

This single is only the start for the local band, who have at least four more songs in the works and high hopes for the future.

“We opened for The Rosadocs last year and that was definitely a good start,” said Brandon

“What we want is to be getting more gigs in Sheffield.

“All the band members are from Rotherham so we’re hoping to start playing further afield.”
