Artist Terry signing books at Mexborough gallery

AN ARTIST best known for his “out of the box” portraits is the latest to put on an exhibition at a Mexborough gallery.

Doncaster artist Terry Chipp is behind the display of portraits, landscapes and drawings at the Raven Gallery, based at Mexborough Resource Centre.

Some of the works are from his Tom’s Territory series, which explores the landscape around Barnburgh and High Melton.

The exhibition runs until December 18 and the gallery is open from 10am to 1pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Curator and artist Pete Olding said: “We are delighted to be hosting this very special exhibition by Terry Chipp and we hope that people will come along to enjoy these remarkable paintings'.

“Terry will be at the gallery on Saturday, December 11, to sign copies of Tom’s Territory — a book that gathers together items from the exhibition.”
