A “Royle” return for comic Steve

A COMIC hailed as “brilliant” by Peter Kay is bringing his new show to the region later this month.

Steve Royle’s The Royle Variety Performance is at The Civic in Barnsley on Thursday, September 16.

Royle, who starred alongside Kay in Phoenix Nights, also drew plaudits when he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent last year.

Now he is setting out on his debut UK tour with what he describes as “a fun-filled evening for all the family”.

As well as being a finalist on Britain's Got Talent, Steve is an actor, writer, comedian, juggler and radio presenter.

He performed as part of Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights Live show at The Manchester Arena and has supported some of the UK’s top comedy talent on tour including Dave Spikey and Roy Walker.
