FREE cinema passes are being given away for one day only to anyone who buys a lottery ticket.

Sheffield’s Showroom Cinema is offering cinema fans the chance to watch any film for free on Sunday, September 30, as part of National Lottery Cinema Day.

The British Film Industry is supported by National Lottery funding, so to thank players, Lotto tickets purchased for draws between Wednesday, September 26, and Saturday, September 29, can be exchanged for a free adult cinema ticket at Showroom Cinema.

Showroom Cinema is Sheffield’s only independent cinema and shows a range of films from Hollywood blockbusters to classic re-releases and films from around the world.

On Sunday, September 30, Lotto ticket holders will be able to see Glenn Close in The Wife, which is hotly tipped for this year’s Oscars, Lord of the Rings star Hugo Weaving in Black 47, Skate Kitchen which follows a subculture of girls whose lives revolve around skating, and a special autism friendly scratch ‘n’ sniff screening of Wallace and Gromit: The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit in partnership with Sensoria Festival.

National Lottery players have helped fund thousands of projects across the British film industry and helped British filmmakers to create films such as The King’s Speech, Suffragette, Viceroy’s House and Pride.

Tickets for the screenings are only available on the day from the Showroom Box Office, Paternoster Row, Sheffield. It is anticipated that it will be very popular, so it is recommended that customers arrive early as tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

This offer is open to over 16s only, further terms and conditions apply. For full information, visit: https://www.showroomworkstation.org.uk/national-lottery-cinema-day.
