A WHEELIE bin and some timber were both set alight in Waverley last night (Wednesday).
"A crew from Parkway station arrived at Rosewood Drive at 8.25pm to reports of some timber set alight on a building site," said a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman.
The crew left the site at 9pm and the cause of the fire was deliberate.
At 9.15pm fire crews from Parkway, Birley and Sheffield Central were called to Waverley Walk after a wheelie bin was on fire.
"Three fire crews were called to the scene as the wheelie bin was close to a property and there were concerns the fire would spread but in the end it was contained," added the spokeswoman.
All crews left the scene at 10.20pm and the fire was accidental.
