A BURGLAR who was caught breaking into a town centre business has been jailed.
Jason Grayson (43), of Princes Street, Masbrough, was caught by police burgling a business on Bridge Street at around 2.30am last Thursday.
He pleaded guilty to burglary at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court last Friday and was jailed for five months.
Rotherham Central Inspector Chris Blake said: “We know how much of an issue commercial burglary is for our business community in Rotherham, and we are doing all we can to work with owners and reduce offending.
“Grayson was caught red-handed and has been recalled straight back to prison as a result of being charged.
“I hope this reassures people that we are committed to protecting and supporting local businesses, and those who seek to do them harm will be punished.”
