TOUGH Mudder lover Lainy Baird challenged kids and their families to get their hands — and everything else — dirty with an assault course challenge.
The after-school activities co-ordinator at Greenlands Primary in North Anston worked with caretaker Martin Eccles to create Greenlands Gladiator, a soggy, mucky assault course around the school grounds last Friday.
Children donned colourful face paint and headbands before taking on the course, which included muddy tunnels, a water slide, a tyre obstacle and cargo nets.
It’s not the first time Greenlands has put an imaginative twist on out-of-class activities — they have organised and taken part in a murder mystery evening, a duathlon, a food festival and an escape room and even built their own mini-golf course.
Teaching assistant Lainy dreamed up the fun challenge after a boot camp last year proved popular with pupils and their parents.
