ELECTRIC charging points run by Rotherham Council have been made free until March as part of a drive to encourage eco-friendly cars.
Locations include Drummond Street, the Wellgate multistorey, Clifton Park Museum, Rother Valley Country Park, Thrybergh Country Park and libraries at Wath, Aston and Rawmarsh.
Cllr Denise Lelliott, cabinet member for the local economy said: “The charging points are part of the council’s continued investment into our communities, and support our commitment to reduce emissions.”
We want to continue holding local authorities to account, attending court and council meetings, as well as providing breaking news, competitions and offers – but it costs money. Online advertising does not cover costs, therefore we feel the need to ask for your help in ensuring we can provide the best possible coverage, online and in our printed products.
For as little as £1, you can support the Rotherham Advertiser – and it only takes a minute.
