POLICE have appealed for information on four men following a £1.5m drugs raid in Tinsley.
Officers from Sheffield North West Neighbourhood Policing Team raided industrial premises on December 23 and recovered 1,500 cannabis plants, a police spokeswoman said.
The cannabis had an estimated street value of £1.5m, she added.
Detectives investigating the cannabis grow believe the four men (pictured, above and below) could hold information vital to the ongoing investigation.
PC Laura Thompson said: “We know that in cases of significant cannabis grows like this, there are often connections to organised crime — which is something we are determined to disrupt and dismantle however we can.
“This drugs seizure removes a significant amount of drugs from the streets, and our investigation to identify those individuals involved in this matter are ongoing.”
Two men (23 and 24) were arrested on suspicion of producing controlled drugs, the spokeswoman said.
The 24-year-old was released under investigation while enquiries continue and the 23-year-old was bailed pending further enquiries.
