MUSIC legend Paul Weller is going down to the woods to play...
The ex-frontman of The Jam (pictured), also known as the Modfather, is booked in for the Forestry’s Commission’s annual Forest Live tour.
He will appear at Sherwood Pines Forest Park near Mansfield on Saturday, June 29.
Paul’s latest release True Meanings — his 14th solo album — entered the UK charts at No 2.
Thanks to hit releases like Wild Wood, Wake Up The Nation and Sonik Kicks, he has become known as a versatile and creative force across the generations.
“The Forest shows are always great gigs for us and it’s been a while since I last did them so I’m really looking forward to them this year,” he said.
Forest Live is a major outdoor live music series held every summer by Forestry Commission England in seven UK forests.
Over 1.75 million people have attended a forest gig in the last 18 years and money raised from ticket sales helps to look after the nation's forests sustainably.
Tickets are available priced at £48.50 (plus £5.35 booking fee) on 03000 680400 or at www.forestryengland.uk/music.
