MALTBY is marking the centenary of the First World War with a brass band concert this weekend.

Dinnington Brass Band (pictured) will perform from 5pm on Sunday (June 10) at Wesley Centre.

The band will play a selection of music from both the First and Second World Wars.

The event is supported by the Royal British Legion, who will have a stall, and all proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Legion’s Maltby branch.

Former Maltby Academy students Josh Daniels and Matthew Bowns will be putting on a display to commemorate the First World War.

Tickets are priced at £5 in advance from Wesley Centre reception and £6 on the door. Tea and coffee is included.
