Hospital “ran smoothy during strike”

ROTHERHAM Hospital bosses have said Monday’s strike action passed without incident.

Chris Holt, chief operating officer at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Monday's industrial action passed smoothly and the Trust maintained high levels of patient safety and care.

“In areas where staff did take action, such as in midwifery, the Trust successfully ran as normal with no disruption to the experience received by our patients.

“The Trust anticipates that the same high levels of service will be upheld during further industrial action by members of the Society of Radiographers planned for Monday, October 20, and patients are asked to attend appointments as normal.

“We’d like to thank patients, members of the public and staff for supporting us throughout the industrial action and for continuing to only use emergency services when urgent care is required.”
