Help to keep Rotherham's old folk warm

ROTHERHAM'S vulnerable old folk are being helped to stay warm this winter with special packs of essential items.

The packs contain a hot water bottle, a fleece blanket, a thermal mug, cup of soups, bed socks and a 20 per cent discount voucher from B&Q.

They have been provided by Anchor Staying Put, an agency specialising in improvements designed to help older people stay in their own homes. Abchor worked with the Rotherham Stroke and Disability Support Group to give them to stroke patients and their carers on discharge from Rotherham Hospital.

Rotherham Borough Council and DIY store B&Q also contributed.
